Madrid - King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia the Spain Saturday inaugurated a new line in the country, which is currently considered the most advanced in the European high-speed train network. ?? royal couple took the train to high-speed AVE de Madrid in Valencia, on the Mediterranean coast Eastern. Other passengers aboard the Prime Minister José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and Minister of infrastructure José Blanco. ?? Wednesday, Prince heir Felipe had inaugurated another segment of the same line, off the coast of the branches in Albacete in the Southeast. The new railway line "marks an important step in the expansion of our network of high speed … which today becomes one of the most comprehensive and modern in the world," King said after his arrival in Valencia. Zapatero describes Spain as a world leader in the high speed trains - preceded only by China, according to the Government. ?? "Spain exceeded same old pioneers such as the France and the Japan", said Blanco. ?? Travel at up to 330 kilometres per hour, the AVE cover road 391 km between Madrid and Valencia all 95 minutes earlier faster than trains twice. ?? More than 3.5 million people should go each year on the new line, according to the Renfe railway. ?? running 15 times a day between Madrid and Valence in both directions, the AVE is expected to reduce flight traffic on highway 55% car trafficking 25% and 5% bus. ?? construction of the new railway line high speed cost 6.6 billion euros ($8.6 billion). ?? Spain began to develop its rail network at high speed in 1992 with the opening of a line linking Madrid to Seville. The AVE now also travel to other cities such as Malaga, Toledo and Valladolid. ?? AVE network currently covers 2,200 kilometres. The line linking Madrid to Barcelona, opened in 2008, is due to be extended to the side of the French border by 2012. ?? network includes three types of trains: a new version of French TGV, another ICE-3, as well as a Canadian Spanish - German form known as El Pato (duck). ?? AVE network has been praised for reviving the poorest regions, boost technology exports and improve connections with the rest of Europe Spain transport. ?? Reviews, however, not all AVE lines are profitable and the Spain is neglecting the potential offered by traditional trains.

British Airways bosses in supplement fuel (USA TODAY)
British Airways has raised her for the first time since 2008, citing rising costs of oil fuel surcharge. The airline said this week that it would raise the surcharge on all long-haul flights by 10 pounds (about $16) each way.
Associated Press, said "which means that passengers will pay a supplement of 63 pounds (approximately $98) and 108 pounds (about $168) depending on the class cabin and the length of the flight.
Sky News British writes that "first increase the BA over two years and follows two reductions to its fuel surcharges.". The BBC says "short-haul flights are not affected by the changes.
Supplement is likely to put pressure on rising rates, it is not evident to all US customers of BA's. Because the United States regulation requires airlines, selling tickets to the United States to include supplements in view of the final price of flight research.

Behind its façade tottering, this place looks towards the future (The Independent)
Why visit?
Hanoi is one of the most genuinely charming cities Asia southeastern, built on centuries of rich tradition, colonization and conflict.
He scored just the time when Emperor Ly Thai to moved the capital from Ninh Binh province in the Red River delta of 1 000 years 60 miles upstream of Thang Long, alias of Hanoi. Think conical hats, street stalls of exotic fruits and Lakes surrounded by young love, which is defined in a context of crumbling colonial façade of sale.
But Hanoi is racing towards modernity. Signs of what is to come are visible everywhere in the world. A few kilometres west of the city, a metropolis shiny is sprouting in the rice fields in my Dinh, while in the old quarter, in the heart of Hanoi, the streets and alleys are stuck with expensive cars and shops selling some brands. This city can draw on its past, but it is now shaped by the future.
Don't miss
The old quarter. You lose and end up where you started to-without even knowing - Hanoi more frenzied shopping district is also home to a growing number of bars and clubs. More street names begin with "Block", which means the goods. (In the 13th century the craftsmen occupy 36 streets each specializing in a certain product - Hang Ga sold chickens, Hang Bun sold noodles and MAM was the place to find fish sauce.) Despise aside for caf?s hidden alleyways and food vendors.
Although bridge long. The "horizontal Eiffel Tower" has come to symbolize the strength Vietnamese; Link from Hanoi to Hai Phong port was bombed during the night and by morning the Viet Nam war.
The bar on the roofs of Pacific Place (facebook.com therooftophanoi). Visit the newly opened for great panoramic view of the city bar.
An overview of Ho Chi Minh mausoleum (Ba Dinh square). The revolutionary leader revered lies embalmed with his arms crossed and long beard yet. The guards are strict, so no cameras or short films.
Strong coffee drip and next to the Cathedral of Saint-Joseph lemon ice tea. Join the inhabitants: sit on a small blue stools with a drink and let the shells of sunflower beneath your feet.
The Temple of literature (Quoc Tu Giam Street). This University inspired by Confucius is relic of Hanoi. Step in its leafy feng shui patios go back in time.
Lakes. They are all different – take romance in Hoan Kiem or join dead tourists to Huu Tiep taking snapshots of the US Air Force B52 Bombardier rust green waters.
Small-scale manufacture of yoghurt Mr. Chi pastry (Kinh Do Hang Bong 252). Follow the footsteps of Catherine Deneuve, who ate here while shooting, Indochina most days.

Whole area will soon be place to do business and live - new welcome for the frail Old neighbourhood.
Hang the market
Market aseptic Hanoi has been renovated in sanitation for 1000 - anniversary of the capital. Booth-style points and brilliant escalators are reminiscent of MBK centre of Bangkok, although on a smaller scale (outside is deceptively large). Here you will find all meat and memories with alcohol and clothing. Only two of the five floors are currently open.

Crazy huskies and English emerge in the Arctic (The Independent) Sun
It seems strange to my thermal layers I unpacked in Lapland earlier this month.
Although bizarre twist of nature (or climate change?) while the temperatures were hittingminus C 23-"Point more cold in Britain", 30 miles from my house in the Highlands of Scotland, was that only less 2 place in the Arctic circle.
What I forgot to pack was a flashlight, which, in retrospect, would have been useful on arrival at Levi, Finland, because I quickly realized that I was going to see the light of day for a week, just a slightly lighter grey sky for three or four hours around midday.
This is not a problem in Finnish Lapland (although it must be studied before Nasa it establishes a lunar base), because the tracks are lit brightly and excellent indoor facilities are much better than in the youngest resorts in the Alps.
In the case of hotel vast Levitunturi complex (358 00 16 646301; hotellilevitunturi.fi), where I stay, these facilities include a bowling, children's play room well equipped, large, a nightclub and his new piece of resistance - a comprehensive 17-pool spa complex with lighting and sound effects. And it's free for customers to use, which most British Columbia Colombia.
Indeed, despite the lack of daylight, double-digit lower temperatures and rather limited downhill sports winter opportunities of Lapland, remains a great seller tour operator British Inghams (020-8780 6680; inghams.co.uk). And we're invited particularly welcome because it appears that crazy huskies and the British head into darkness midday to Santa.
For those of us here for snow sports, however, December offers much, if somewhat surreal, ski during the week in darkness. The slopes were empty my visit, because almost all puzzled yet excited British families were off the coast of attempting to travel sleds, snowmobile and taster reindeer safari. Another good news included the fact that the ski "day" is longer than elsewhere, with lifts running from 9 am to 7 pm. And the snow that fell ever so slight, preventing any hope to see the Aurora remained soft, powdery at low temperatures.
Also, those much-feared high Scandinavian prices failed to materialize. Dining room and lift tickets are cheaper here than in the Alps. Even beer €5 (£ 4.25) once seemingly expensive has long been allocate by resorts in southern Europe.

Papaya with the Emir (subject)
This is a time that I checked in with Peter Gostelow. It is pedal their way across the continent to raise funds for the Foundation against malaria. He has been on the road since August 2009 that comes from its last update Northern Nigeria, where he was a very good time. Here are some excerpts from his last blog.
Emir of old Muri took care of us at Jalingo. By this I mean we have received a reduced its Guest House brothers and had breakfast and dinner provided free of charge to our room by one of his personal assistants.
Old Muri is a small village on the north shore of the Benue River in Taraba State. Between the sandy streets and brick huts there is little to show that the alleged Amir be a 450 years of history. I missed the details that we we're sitting in front of him on a couch in his room before a servant crawled onto the carpet to bottle water and fresh papaya.
The landscape becomes more mountain as a head South by Taraba State to Cameroon. Behind huts of stubble and harvested cornfields, Yam and peppers are dotted with verdant slopes.
A few days ago that we have been lucky enough to spend a cattle market weekly where hundreds of cows were walked miles autour by Peulh and Hausa owners to buy and sell side of Coteau.
From abroad, who had disappeared with my $100 note to replace the black market, farmers who gave me free fruit. Teachers, leaders and pastors who provided safe places to sleep in my tent per night and many other Niger who were full of energy, generosity and a sense of humor does matter what circumstances they are in. They have all been seven weeks a very memorable in the life of the great cycle.
Click here to read the full report and find out more about Peter's fundraising efforts. It is nice to see it back into the rhythm of African and take advantage of its travel again.

Various wintersports in Tignes in the French Alps (topic)
You've been sleds, but did you ever take your skis with a horse you pulling on the snow? It's very fun and one of the many alternative sports offered in French resort centres as Tignes. Sports in winter has certainly changed over the years, and particular Tignes is focused on for all kinds of different activities of snowboarding snowmobiling, paragliding in ice. And then there is the fabulous ski as well of course.

On any given night in Mumbai, the odds are relatively high that you can find people drum and singing and dancing barefoot on the streets as they celebrate a marriage or religious festival. With its endless buzz of people, cars and parts streets, the city is with energy. But a new exhibition at Gallery BBM (Yantra annex, Queen's building, Ghanshyam Talwatkar Marg, near to the Cathedral high school; 91-22-6171-5757 www.gallerybmb.com), which runs through January 10 shows photographs in the 1930s and 1940s, which depict the city from a different angle: inter alia, calm and peaceful.
"When it was Bombay" consists of 20 pictures of the city, taken before its name changed to Mumbai and its population reaches upward 16 million inhabitants.
"This is a big difference now," said Kanchi Mehta, curator of the show, as she sought through photographs. "Whenever I look at these I'm like, ' wow, what life must have been like at the time." ”

A unit of the Koeberg nuclear power reactor will be closed for a month to replace the defective fuel rods. Even if a second reactor runs at full power during the closure, Eskom is calling on South Africans to use electricity wisely.
Stop at the station in Cape Town, starting Sunday, just after higher than normal levels of radioactivity were reported in the Koeberg unit 1 primary coolant circuit.
This was the result of one or several defective fuel rods in the reactor, Eskom said.
"Eskom has decided to stop unit 1 for short-duration failure to find and replace defective fuel rods", said the utility power belonging to the State. "Short outage lasts about a month."
Staff working at the plant as well as the public should not be alarmed that there is no risk of security arising from these higher levels of normal radioactivity, Eskom says.
Higher levels of radioactivity are primary cooling of the reactor's containment building circuit. Water in the primary circuit is isolated environment by primary pipe itself and the construction of containment.
"Political Eskom is that we do not load fuel with known reactor defects." For each refueling crashes, all elements of fuel which are intended to be loaded into the reactor are reviewed and confirmed in acoustics and in good condition.
In the summer months and especially holiday, electricity demand is low compared to the other months, making it the ideal time for utility planning maintenance of its stations.
"Koeberg unit 2 will operate at full power during this period." Nevertheless, Eskom non-energy call to all consumers conserve electricity and waste. »

Involved in Park City, New York Post)
I AM sitting in Yuki Arashi, a den of sexy sushi shortly on the historic main street of the City Park, known for its magnificent inventive Japanese, French and Korean maki and tapas. This is the kind of place where I should be on a date. But instead of this, I'm with several raised friends and our combined seven children - a situation which cannot be described as "child chaos."
At one point, I'm literally fighting with my toddler on spicy kimchee miso. She won, quickly mobile for shrimp tempura roll with truffle oil. At least, it has good taste. We are a chaotic disorder flight stained Wasabi shoes and stuffed animals. Just like my child climbs up on the table for a little entertainment for all world, actress Katherine Heigl Swan past, facing fresh, new and imperturbable (it is a local, and it is a date with her husband).
BREW-SKI: Relaxing after a hard day on the slopes in Park City. For me, the scenario captures perfectly cool effortlessly to Park City became to materials years that I have known this city from the resort centre. Utah ski resorts were formerly considered backward playground in the country. Fast some years forward and Park City residents are now more jaded as New York on celebrities (thanks to a small event each January called Sundance) town is filled to the rim with adventurous restaurants (learn more about how, see below) and a few laws obsolete liqueur are now gone, slicking the way for some fun sites, news. Now, name, a large luxury resort brand, and it is fair to aperture, or opening next week. But at heart, Park City is a family destination. You want to defeat valuable? Try to St. Moritz.
This is not always the way. Stations that make up Park City region began in the 1960s, when skiers to Park City rose still mining modified cars remainder of his days of silver mines. My memory earlier tiny Park West (now the canyons) - confirmed by Dick Bench, an employee who was since he was a 1968 ski patroller canyons - was that he had two choices for skiers: beginning and deathwish, where children as I took fresh out Tumbleweed and Arrowhead powderhounds lift passes local "adult" came to a legendary mogul run served by the elevator Packers sounding worrying.
There was a certain lack of panache to the stations. Certainly we have posh Deer Valley in the 1980s, but at the time, was regarded as the Centre of resort for wealthy visitors (and the joke was that were people to ski for you if you was not envy).
Time was when a few friends and you could spend a winter waiting tables at Main Street Pizza noodles & living in old dilapidated minors homes dot the mountain around historic main street to feed your need for skiing. If you want a drink in one of the few bars of the city (which were all designated "private club" day Utah Liquor Act), walk you in and ask him some old guys supporting bar "sponsor" membership, buy a drink and here - after skiing. These houses have all been skilfully again and now sell millions, and in 2009, former Governor Jon Huntsman has lifted the laws of the membership. Today, you do not have to buy an old guys a drink before you yours. Unless you want it.

Places of visit to Bali: Tenganan (written Road)
Tenganan is the most famous village Bali Aga (original BALINESE) and is located in the vicinity of Candi Dasa in East Bali. Villagers keep a strict Cosmology and social organization. Villagers should live in the village and marry of in. There are portions of Tenganan, outside of the village itself, where the villagers who were married outside of the village can live and complete strangers have yet another part.
Tenganan produces fine basketry and double weave ikat, called geringsing, the only place is located in South-East Asia and one of only 3 in the world. Tenganan visitors can walk around in the village of long rectangular, which is presented in the bleachers, stairs of broad between Pierre. Tenganan is closed to foreigners after dark of the night. The puseh pura (temple of origin), which is in honour of the village, founders located outside village walls to the North. One end of the village, just in the entrance is ball agung, the long rectangular ball where village Council meeting.
Legend has that, in the 14th century, King Bedauli, the leader of Bali, has lost his favorite horse and offered a reward to anyone who could find. Finally, the horse was found dead near Tenganan and local people asked to give the land as a reward. The King sent his representative to determine the limit of the Earth to give and told him to include all the land where he could feel the dead horse. Accompanied by local village chief could not discover how he could feel the horse everywhere he went, possibly drawing broad limits. Apparently, the head of the village had a piece of meat to clothes horse. The descendants of the head now work like Kuta changers.
The thing that Tenganan has is a special tradition of weaving and unique cultural history. There is only 600 families in Tenganan and its inhabitants, it is forbidden to marry outside the village. If they do, they are banished from the village ever. Local Tenganan I was once that there is indeed of the three parts of the village, the western part, which is the appropriate part, is exiled locals Northeastern and southeastern, inhabited by people from outside, Javanese and other BALINESE.
Tenganan is one of only 3 places in the world, the other being the India and Japan, where a double ikat is woven. In a double ikat (cloth), frame (longitudinal) and threads (lateral) armor are linked separately prior to being dyed, creating a template complex. A single ikat takes 5 years to make and is used in religious ceremonies.
It was a day 3 festival held once per year in the village called UDABA SAMBAH and usually mid-year for the months of June/Juli. When you visit Tenganan try and get there early in the morning to avoid the tourist bus that it much like a circus. Moments are before 10 a.m. and after 4 pm. The village is closed to foreigners and visitors after the dark of the night. Note also that you will be charged a small parking lot outside costs.
If you get a Pre-Loaded for Europe smartcard? (smartertravel.com)
Travelex foreign exchange Agency presented the first map of flow of the chip-and-pin available to U.S. travellers. "Chip and Pin Cash Passport" solves the problem that many of you face in American style in Europe, but at a rigid price charts. Unless you put money on the card, the exchange rate is terrible.
AdvertisingYou've probably already seen the Americans who find that they can always use their overseas credit card travel reports. The problem is that American banks always use band sign system encodes the account information in machine-readable on the back of the card, magnetic stripe while merchants and European banks are largely oriented a chip-and-pin incompatible system encodes the account information in a chip memory integrated on the map.
Travelex is now publishes the first chip and pin card helps u.s. travellers. It is a stored-value debit card, not a credit card. MasterCard logo and is available in euros or pounds. You can use it for most other than these few, such as a car rental payments require credit instead of debit cards and you can also use it to get species at ATMs. Once loaded, the map does not impose any Exchange or transaction fees, and you pay extra when the operator of a distributor adds local tax. When you first get a map, you load funds onto it by cash, debit card or credit card. As you use the adapter, the decrease of the stored value, but you can reload when the stored value gets too low. And if you have a remaining value, you can convert dollars more seamlessly.
Overall, the map seems much, except for a big problem: poor exchange rate. When you store a $500 euros for the card, you pay 1.52 dollar, compared with a rate of 1.32. Is a bonus exchange of more than 15%, which is much more you pay with credit cards most ATM withdrawals and Exchange cash or checks for travellers at most sites. You must store $2,500 or more until you get a decent exchange rate currently 1.38 dollar, worse than many other options. Book rates are similar.
Obviously, Chip and Pin Cash Passport is a poor substitute for regular credit and debit cards with a stripe and chip. But until the banks issue these cards, it will perform. If you are going overseas:
Continue to use your band regular debit and credit cards to the extent possible. Airlines, hotels, restaurants and merchants can process still either system, although some may need a bit of emphasis. And much more European distributors accept band debit cards to distribute to cash.If you think that you need, purchase a Travelex card with a little more value that you expect to charge, but use it only when you cannot use your regular cards. This is mainly for automated merchandising - machines more and more used to distribute rail tickets and transit, road tolls and bridge, 24/7 gasoline distribution (more frequent in Europe here) machines and other devices.Currently, you can buy Chip and Pin Cash Passport cards only to the retail locations. Visit the Web of Travelex site for locations. Presumably, online sales will available soon.
So far, at least in public, American Express, MasterCard and visa remain in complete denial on chip and PIN for us customers. Their party line said that their contracts require all participating merchants to accept any valid card, including a map of the band. If you have a machine that will accept your card, will the spiel, make for an attendant to handle for you. Many fat good advice is when the nearest agent is 10 km and in bed, or about 80 people online.
For the moment, Travelex card is better than nothing. But hope it hits the big banks to issue their own double - system with the best exchange rate cards.

Can you travel with a baby? (Matt's travel site)
It is a post by Corinne McDermott guest to have Baby Will Travel.
If you're recently welcomed a new life in this world, or your hump like a watermelon, if you always loved travel you can think of, "can you travel with a baby." Of course, you can travel with a baby but once part of the parent club, the matter appears to become "need you are travelling with a baby."
"It is too dangerous." "It is irresponsible!" and "It will be too hard!" are little heckling you've thrown your way. And then there is my particular favorite, it is very selfish. Babies need routine, they do not want to be dragging around the world.
As a new parent, chances are you you are not going to choose a zone of war as your destination and if you decide you hopefully on the spot with good access to health care. Small babies are more susceptible to the disease, but when they are really little you have more control over what and in which they come into contact with.
And travel with difficult baby? Yes, but can thus travel without a baby, and we like it yet. It is certainly more work than throwing a handful of layers in your backpack, but this does not mean that it is not worth. Babies need things, and you need to carry these things. Babies need to eat, and you will need food. Babies need to sleep, and you will need to ensure a safe place to do this. Hostels are ideal for single travellers but are not always the best for babies. You'll need to adjust your pace - try to cram as much in your possible days you will be all grouchy and tired. You'll need to adjust your expectations - your life has changed, if you think that the way you do you likely will be disappointed.
Before the arrival of my daughter, I am sure that I had this thing maternity by pat. I read it books, I did the research, I was ready. But the moment wherever it arrived, I was completely thrown for a loop and is not everywhere feel close to the normal period of 9 months. In hindsight, it was the sort of baby easy, versatile, which would have been a tiny traveler dream. However, I was not ready to spend only until it is close to one. Occasional "Papa embodies" or "sancti-MOM" would be tut - tut on how they just appeared babe in a sling and off, they went to hike the road trek Rwanda gorillas Summit Mt. Everest and fair baby come into their lives and who was. Well * which * was not my experience, nor anyone else, I know.
I can attest that babies like routines, it is important to create new ones when you travel. I think that the occasional break standard ultimately makes more adaptable babies anyway. Baby wish just to be with their parents, if it makes the mama and dada pleased to have a change of scenery, then it is. Here are some key tips to start.
Breastfeeding. The best food for baby is also the easiest to "prepare" when you're on the road. Breastfeeding eliminates the team bottles, nipples, sterilization, equipment, calculation, etc., but the baby will also be if valuable anti-bodies that will protect against the disease when you're away from home.
Make a Sling. Or a baby carrier. Slings can help you to carry the baby, but they can also substitute coverage, buffer changes, or nursing cover. If the slings are not your thing, several light fabric baby carriers offer excellent support, keep your hands free and does not take place when they are retained.
Take a stroll. When you travel, a stroller is not just a stroller, a highchair, a bed and a multiple things-lugger. The type of trip you prefer will dictate whether a light or all-terrain strollers would be more appropriate, but not cheap here. Best strollers are easy to push and most is easy to fold when necessary. In warmer climates, slings and carriers can become uncomfortable, so a stroller can provide shade as well.
Packaging or buy towels. Many of them. WIPES layers are best friend traveling parent. Not only do they serve to their destination, they MOP spitting up, tacky, faces, hands used toilet paper (not empty!), and can clean a number any crude surfaces you or baby may need to touch. Layers and disinfectant wipes (for you) may be public bathroom scenarios sometimes a little more bearable icky.
Do over schedule. If you are trying to cram too much in your day and your trip, you'll all feeling exhausted and tired. Use local parenting websites your destination to find parks and other friends of babies that are easy and comfortable for everyone. That is monument jungle trek coral reefs has been a long time ago already and will still be there when your child is old enough to take with you.
My children are living proof that start the voyage at an early age makes easier and easier to travel with and breathes love at the beginning of the trip. And as they grow older, we seek to make more adventurous trips with them. For us, it is not "are we there yet?" was "when we are going to?

Sensis WAM is now certified for the control of air traffic in the North Sea (World Tourism News)
EAST SYRACUSE, NY (PRNewswire/WorldTourismNews.eu) - Wide Area multilateration (WAM Sensis Corporation) deployment in the North Sea, off the coast of the coast of Scotland is now certified for controlling air traffic (ATC) by the civil aviation authority in the United Kingdom. NATS, leader in air navigation provider United Kingdom, air traffic controllers use very precise for improving the safety of air traffic in the airspace of oil rigs WAM monitoring using the same traditional standards and procedures as a radar system. This application is first system fully certified WAM industry to provide ATC for flight services in an environment of oil platform off the coast.
Each year, more than 25,000 flights helicopter carry half a million passengers from Aberdeen Airport and oil and gas in the North Sea by the airspace which is inaccessible to ground-based radar operations. Low-level radar coverage extends only 80 miles off the coast, forcing the controllers to depend on positional radio driver updated every 10 minutes. As a result, established flight paths are often more efficient roads due to the lack of oversight. Deploy traditional radar is an effective and economic solution because of limitations of performance at low initial flight and lifecycle costs to install radars on oil rigs.
In order to increase safety and efficiency of operations of the helicopter in the North Sea, the NATS required innovative and reliable solution allowing high precision surveillance today everything is ready for tomorrow's technologies such as surveillance of persons with automatic load - Broadcast (ADS - B). NATS services chose Sensis WAM to cover the 25,000 square kilometres of the North Sea, for sensors placed on oil platforms 16, including platform multilateration floating with changes of positional of up to 100 meters. The system is able to track flights using the Mode S, ADS - B or mode a and C, monitor without any new avionics.
"Based in Aberdeen Airport air traffic controllers now use precise monitoring of Sensis WAM similarly traditional radar to monitor the coast flights in all weather conditions", said John Mayhew, Director General NATS Aberdeen. "The result is a significant improvement of flight safety in the region which is beyond the ground radar coverage."
Robert Paterson, health, security and employment with Oil & Gas United Kingdom Director welcomed the launch adding: "I am very happy to see this system going live is a considerable advance safety helicopter."
Sensis multilateration uses multiple sensors little maintenance, non-rotating to triangulate aircraft location based on transponder signals provide information specifies aircraft position and identification, irrespective of the conditions weather air traffic controllers. With a higher rate to update and more positional accuracy than traditional radar, Sensis multilateration provides effective surveillance for greater security, capacity and the efficiency of airspace and airports. With its advanced processing techniques, Sensis multilateration uses the minimum number of sensors for a less complex lifecycle, low-cost solution. In addition, each sensor deployed by Sensis also supports ADS - B, providing an infrastructure which is ready for the supervision of today need and tomorrow is avionics - a cost-effective solution in the long term.
"Sensis is pioneer of the concept of use WAM surveillance flights oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico with helicopter flight system trial to NASA," said Ken Kaminski, vice President and General Manager of Sensis Air Traffic Systems. "With the system of the North Sea becomes the first of its kind to be certified for air traffic control, we again demonstrated WAM as a solution for effective and efficient monitoring these harsh environments.
Near 100 sites around the world have chosen Sensis multilateration to improve safety, efficiency, and cost savings through monitoring of the airport surface, extended monitoring and management of the airport surface.

Where is Andrew? Video: Great Ocean Road (travel agency)
My first week in Australia has been busy, busy. Try to throw all my track me Melbourne bouncing out of the historic Goldfields, until the beautiful high country Victorian Alps and then again on the stormy South coast. I'm always surprised by the diversity of landscapes, as I've traveled across in such a short time.
I stopped finally running at official "Surf Capital the Australia, Torquay" to the point of departure for the Great Ocean Road. We featured the famous Australian journey into our October as a number of our 27 'ultimate readers"around the world and I don't see why now. Rarely car travel grant you kind of intimacy and cinematic landscape I have discovered along the road. I am also surprised by the abundant wildlife around: brilliant birds Platypus, kangaroos, grey and even a koala, who was a very fortunate to find for me.
I spent three days triggered Victoria-resplendent and rocky coast, all pleased drama by the mysterious mixture of Sun and thunderstorms that I met on the way. I believe deeply in the bottom, I was secretly hoping a red convertible or a Jaguar - something befitting of a road to this beauty. Unfortunately, notice only offered me a white Ford wise I was recognized for the days that followed.
My advice to anyone planning drive? It is quite clear, but take more time. There are a lot of experience here: Ocean magnificent cliffs, dense corners rainforest Aussie, seaside towns poetic and Australia living, breathing surf culture.
