Sharm el-Sheikh Re - opens - With conditions (Luxique luxury travel)

Egypt reopens its beaches to tourists after a series of attacks left one dead and four injured sharks.

The shores of Sharm el-Sheikh were outside of the bounds as a German tourist was killed. Earlier, three Russians and a Ukrainian suffered serious injuries.

Governor of South Sinai, Mohamed Abdel Fadel Shousha, said: "we allowed the beaches reopen that hoteliers adhere to the new controls to ensure the safety of foreign tourists while diving or swimming."

The hotel owners will be required to "sea patrol" and also establish with watchtowers along the shore so professional divers can monitor attacks. Tourists must stay in designated bathing places and refrain from feeding sharks.

An investigation continues on the behaviour of sharks, some experts, who suggests that overfishing may have pushed sharks more close to the shore.

Others have speculated that sharks are attracted by the coast after an Australian sheep carrying of the ship and cattle sacrifice of Muslim holiday Eid last month, dumped the carcasses of animals which have died on the trip.
