48 hours-amsterdam (topic)

The first 24 hours are devoted to the central canal belt of Amsterdam, which arcs in a semicircle around the central station. Begins at the station and head south of the Damrak; This more visibly tourist street in Amsterdam is loaded with souvenir shops whose goods are of good taste to hilarious kitsch. At the end is the place of the dam, the Palais Royal (Royal Palace) on the West side and the National Monument, East. Enter the Palace and admire 17 illustrious Chambers of the period of the Empire of the decorative arts.

Eye in the Nieuwe Kerk (new Church) Gothic look and discover the temporary exhibition if it calls. Then head Radhuisstraat Westermarkt, the site of two West Homomonument - sensitive persecuted for their sexuality - and the Westerkerk, the Bell Tower of 85 m, the largest Memorial Amsterdam, climbing reward with a magnificent panorama. To the North, the Anne Frank Huis has needed no introduction; circumvention of the queue with tickets purchased online. (Note that the Anne Frank Huis is not included in the amsterdam card!) Visitors are moved unanimously by their experience at the Anne Frank Huis, and you'll probably be too. (It is inappropriate for children fear?) (See our advice).

Stop now - retrace steps Spuistraat and heads Southeast: with only 48 hours, have lunch on the passage of Vleminckx Sausmeesters favourite Amsterdam friet (French fries), Voetboogstraat 31.
